Our young badminton players from Doboj and Banja Luka participated in the strong international tournament Dubrovnik VALAMAR Junior Open 2026, which was held from May 1 to 3, 2026.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska and their clubs were represented by Aleksa Ilić and Filip Janjanin from the Badminton Club Sertini Doboj, and Aleksandra Vučan from the Badminton Club Banja Luka.
Aleksa and Filip performed in men’s singles and doubles, while Aleksandra Vučan performed in women’s singles. In strong international competition, they showed combativeness, quality and great commitment.
In their matches, our national team players competed against opponents from Sweden, the Czech Republic and Croatia. This time the opponents were more successful, but our players showed a good level of form and combativeness, and gained valuable experience.
The Dubrovnik tournament is one of the most important international junior tournaments in the region, bringing together a large number of young players from different countries and continents. Matches at this level represent an important step in the sporting development of our competitors.
