The Elementary School “Sveti Sava” in Ljubinje hosted a special sports and educational story dedicated to the development of badminton in the Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The visit was led by the president of the Badminton Federation of Republika Srpska in its founding and the president of the Badminton Club Sertini Doboj Dario Milačak, the president of the Badminton Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the president of the Badminton Club Banja Luka Brane Srdić, together with Aleksandra Milačak, one of the founders of the Badminton Club Sertini Doboj, and the young national badminton players of Bosnia and Herzegovina:

Through socializing, presentations, and the practical part of the training, students had the opportunity to learn about one of the fastest and most attractive sports of today, but also to talk with athletes about sports, discipline, a healthy lifestyle, and the importance of physical activity.
We would like to express our special gratitude to the school principal, Pero Sikimić, for his support in implementing the activities, as well as to the physical education teacher, Jelena Vujović, for her organization and great commitment.
Many thanks also to the coaches and management of the volleyball and judo club who gave up the time in the hall and showed true sportsmanship.
It is important to emphasize that badminton was experimentally included in the Minor Olympic Games (MOI) this year, while next year will be extremely important for the development of school badminton, with plans to include high schools throughout the Republika Srpska.
Badminton continues to grow. Step by step. City by city.
