Badminton Club Sertini Doboj has become a recognizable symbol of sports development, inclusion and international cooperation when it comes to badminton in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Founded with the aim of popularizing this fast and dynamic sport, the club has achieved significant results in a short time and has become a home for competitors of all ages – from beginners to serious athletes.

Club members regularly perform at domestic and international tournaments, including the prestigious “ADA Badminton League (Alps – Danube – Adria)”. Our club participated in “almost all rounds of this year’s ADA league”, which testifies to a high level of organization, dedication and sports enthusiasm. The “final round in Opatija (June 7, 2025)” is now in front of us, where all the results will be added up and the overall ranking of our members will be determined.

Younger competitors also stand out at the tournaments, such as Aleksa Ilić, Filip Janjanin, and Emilija Marčeta, for whom Opatija is her first appearance in this league. In addition to them, Sertini also competes with pairs in the men’s, women’s, and mixed categories, covering almost all disciplines.

We also prepare our competitors for other prestigious international tournaments such as the “Li-Ning Zagreb Youth Open” and the “Serbian U17 International”, demonstrating a clear commitment to developing future champions.

In addition to its sporting achievements, Sertini is also recognized for its socially responsible work. Through projects such as “Badminton against Bullying”, “Game Changers”, and “Badminton for Inclusion”, the club actively includes children with developmental disabilities (autism, Down syndrome), using sport as a tool for socialization, self-confidence and joy. Training for these children is carried out in the presence of parents, completely voluntarily and with a lot of attention.

Trainings are held throughout the year in sports halls in Doboj, at clearly defined times:
Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Training is led by a team of professional and dedicated licensed coaches, including coaches educated and recognized by the Badminton World Federation (BWF).

Trainings are organized by categories:

* Children of preschool and school age
* Adult recreational athletes
* Competitors (individual and team)
* Children with developmental disabilities

A major promotional campaign will begin in primary and secondary schools in early September 2025, with badminton presentations, talent selection, and a month of free training for selected students. The campaign will culminate in a final tournament for primary and secondary school students, which will also be selective for inclusion in the competitive group.

The organization of a “summer badminton camp” is also planned, which, in addition to sports content, will offer educational and recreational workshops, as well as international socializing with athletes from the region.
