On June 13, 2026, the final event of the project “Social Network = Badminton Network” was successfully implemented in Doboj, which rounded off a multi-month sports and educational program intended for children and young people aged 8 to 25.

During the project, four sports-educational meetings were held, through which participants had the opportunity to develop team spirit, cooperation, communication skills, fair-play behavior, and awareness of the importance of safe use of social networks and digital technologies.

We are especially proud that the project brought together a larger number of participants than originally planned and that young people from Doboj and Živinice, young people with developmental disabilities, their parents, as well as members of other sports teams and interested citizens participated equally in the activities.

The final event included joint badminton activities, a mini tournament, exchange of experiences among participants, discussions on digital security, and the presentation of certificates of appreciation and symbolic awards to project participants and partners.

Through sports, socializing and talking about the safe use of social networks, the participants had the opportunity to gain new knowledge, develop self-confidence, meet peers from other backgrounds and build new friendships. The end of the project brought many smiles, sports challenges and valuable messages that the participants will remember for a long time.

Special thanks go to our friends and partners from Živinice, young people with developmental disabilities and their parents, volleyball players, basketball players, all participants, volunteers and friends of the project who, with their presence, energy and support, contributed to the creation of a positive atmosphere and the successful implementation of all activities.

This project has once again shown that sport can be much more than a game – it can be a space for socializing, learning, inclusion, developing friendships, and creating a safer environment for young people.
