The first Republika Srpska badminton championship was held in Banja Luka, in the hall of the “Borisav Stanković” elementary school, and brought exciting moments, top matches and proved that this sport is on the right path of development in the region.

BK “Sertini” Doboj, as one of the youngest badminton clubs in the Republic of Srpska, can boast of great results and progress. Although the club has only existed for 3-4 years, our players have stood shoulder to shoulder with competitors who have been in this sport for over 15-20 years.

Željana Radičević and Ivana Miljanović played an extremely tense match for third place in the women’s individual category. After a great fight, Željana took home the bronze and earned a place on the podium!
Filip Janjanin had a great performance, but fell short in the match for third place, finishing fourth. His fighting spirit and desire to succeed showed that great things are yet to come.
Aleksa Ilić had a tough draw and found himself in a very strong group. However, he put up an excellent fight against his opponents, which shows his excellent form and readiness for future competitions.
Georgije Todorović is another of our players who has shown significant progress, which is a great motivation for our club and confirmation of the quality work we do with young talents.
Dario Milačak, Dušica Klopić and Jovana Skrobić also did their best, but they lacked a little sporting luck to advance from the group.

We owe a great debt of gratitude to our line judges, whose professionalism significantly contributed to the regularity and quality of the competition. The judges who were part of this historic event are:

The first Republika Srpska badminton championship was an important test for our club, but also an opportunity to show how much we have progressed in just a few years. From a fledgling club, BK “Sertini” Doboj has become a serious competitor at the regional level, which is the result of dedicated work, team spirit and love for badminton.

This competition is not only a historic moment for our sport, but also a strong message that badminton in the Republic of Srpska is on the right path of development. We congratulate all the medal winners, but also all the competitors who gave their maximum. We would like to especially thank the organizers, judges and the support that made this event run smoothly.

BK “Sertini” Doboj is proud of its representatives and looks forward to future challenges and competitions. This is just the beginning of great things for our sport!
