The second Advent Badminton Cup, held in Vinkovci, once again brought together badminton enthusiasts and competitors from different parts of the region, and the Badminton Club Sertini Doboj proudly represented its city and club with more than 30 members. The tournament, which was attended by as many as 100 competitors, was an opportunity to show sportsmanship, fair play and team solidarity, with numerous notable results.
A special moment of the tournament was the performance of our youngest members, Nikša Ristić and Leon Nikić, who won the hearts of the audience with their talent and energy. Their victory in the group stage was a real surprise and additional motivation for the rest of the team. Their play and behavior were a true example of how young athletes can inspire the entire community.
Our members achieved significant successes at the competition, which once again confirmed the quality of the club’s work:
- Men’s Doubles: Sergej Milačak and Lovro Juras won the gold medal, showing exceptional technique and teamwork.
- Women’s Doubles: Dušica Klopić and Maja Đurić won the silver medal, further strengthening their position among the best pairs.
- Mixed Doubles: Željana Radičević and Miloš Miljanović took home the silver medal, with dynamic play and incredible fighting spirit.
- Women’s Singles: Željana Radičević stood out with a great game and deservedly won the gold medal.
- Men’s Singles: Filip Janjanin, after numerous attempts, finally won his first silver medal, confirming his exceptional progress and dedication.
In addition to the competitors, a major contribution to the success was made by the club’s physiotherapist, Georgije Todorović, who, with his professional approach, helped the players recover between matches. His work was crucial in maintaining the team’s fitness and motivation.
Although some of our members did not win medals this time, their contributions and efforts did not go unnoticed. Among them were:

Our moral support, Marija, Dragana, Biljana and Vera (the youngest passenger), was invaluable throughout the tournament, providing additional motivation and support to all competitors.
This tournament once again showed that Badminton Club Sertini Doboj is a proud representative of its city of Doboj in regional and international competitions. Participating with a large number of members and achieving exceptional results not only promotes the sport, but also strengthens unity and friendship among athletes.
The club’s coaches, Dušica Klopić, Sale Klopić and Dario Milačak (Mačak), expressed great satisfaction with the success of all competitors, emphasizing that the foundations have been laid for even greater results in the future. Their dedication and work with all ages give additional encouragement to the entire team to continue with hard training and further improvement.
Badminton Club Sertini Doboj continues its mission of promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle, with the belief that successes like this are just the beginning.
